Residency Requirements

When moving to Morocco you may want or need to establish residency.  Requirements may include obtaining a work and residency permit.

Obtaining a Driver’s License


Typical documentation required to obtain a driver’s license include:

• Translated, certified and authenticated copy of origin country driver’s license or international driver’s license.
• Medical certificate

You must convert your origin country driver’s license to a local license within 12 months of arrival.

Additional Notes

In general, French & Algerian driver’s licenses are accepted.


Opening a Bank Account

In order to open a bank account, you may be asked for:

• Valid passport
• Proof of address
• Confirmation of employment / income

Typically opening a bank account can be completed in 2 days.
